Stop and Smell the Roses isn’t just about appreciating natures unseen beauty, it’s about delicacy, complexity, and a time clock we can’t beat. What truly matters is the way we choose to view the hand we have been dealt in life. Being in nature represents my emotional serenity through the pain, the sadness, and the blurriness of tears. There is clarity, because there is only silence. Each image invites the viewer to appreciate the intimate details of what the photo represents. Having gone through quite a few heartbreaks, mental health issues, personal health issues, setbacks, familial loss, and a tragic loss that is etched into my very being was truly devastating and character-changing. Every time my heart broke, a small piece of who I am was taken. It left a hole allowing me to plant what I needed for a new piece of myself to bloom in its place. What’s left is something truly extraordinary, a mixture of strength, fragility, and beauty.
